I have been trying to paint with oils for the first time yesterday, and let me tell you… I had a lot of fun, I think it’s perfect for painting landscapes, but I don’t think I have what it takes to paint anything else. I have never taken any formal classes on painting at the college, so it seems difficult to paint realistic looking things besides nature. Nature is always fun to paint for me. Yesterday I was trying to paint a night life city scene.
I found out that oil paints take days to dry… I’m so impatient to finish the painting and my hands are tied… I need to let the first layer to finish drying.
Plus I didn’t have any turpentine, and soap with water didn’t really do a great job in cleaning the brushes.
So the summary of my oil painting experiment is – it’s a headache, but results are so beautiful that it’s all worth it. I will make a blog post with my new painting as soon as it is all finished.

Unfortunately, unlike many of you, I cannot stand UGG boots. I’m not going into detailed explaining why, we’ll just leave it at that. However, I was looking through same issue of April’s Teen Vogue and guess what? I saw the coolest pair of shoes, almost like converse ones, but they were UGG. So I decided to illustrated them (I still don’t like UGG boots though :P)
