Job I Would Love To Have

I always wanted to be somehow involved in a fashion world, but hectic lifestyle and work environment scare me away. I look through fashion news, illustrate the looks that inspire me the most, learn to sew… but that’s as far as it goes.

I’m one of those people who was not blessed with education that’s paid for or any other kind of support from my family, so it seems very hard to make the break through, go out there, get internship and make my life the way I want it to be.

But you know, looking at the magazines does not make me feel like I accomplished my dream. I still have this huge desire to go and live that hectic life. I don’t really want to admit it because so many people think it’s crazy, but I love busy life. I still want to dress chic, run errands, get things on my to-do list done, meet important people, see how others dress… That is still my dream at the end of every single day, before I close my eyes for the good night sleep.

I admire DKNY PR girl– Aliza Licht. She has a career that I would love to have (don’t want to say “career I would die for” because I don’t really want to die), family (have no idea how it’s possible to juggle it all like that, tips please?), and she is nice to others on the internet. So if there will be any miraculous chance in my regular life that I will get to step into this crazy fashion world, I want to be someone like Aliza.

And yes, today’s post is without illustration.

  1. With those illustrations you can have a great career. Do you know Garance Doré? She also started out with illustrations. Maybe you should contact all magazines you can think of & also newspapers & offer your illustrations for free. & once you have some out you Can more easily approach the magazines you want to work for & ofcourse after a while you will get paid for your work.

    1. Aww thank you so much for your advice! I don’t know who she is but I will definitely check her out. I was thinking to do that with magazines but wasn’t sure about it. But it sure helps to hear that! Thank you for looking out :)

      1. Your welcome : ) She is also the girlfriend of Scott Schumann aka the Sartorialist.

I want your feedback!
